Dubai's biggest month of movement is almost here. Dubai Fitness Challenge returns from 31 October to 29 November 2026 for its tenth edition, and the idea hasn't changed since the first one in 2017: 30 minutes of activity a day, for 30 days, done however you like. A walk around the neighbourhood counts as much as a 10km run down Sheikh Zayed Road.
It has grown into one of the world's largest community fitness movements, with more than 16 million participants across nine editions and over 3 million in 2025 alone. This year's theme asks a simple question, What's your 30x30?, and the calendar gives you plenty of answers, from a costume run on Palm West Beach to paddleboarding at Hatta Dam. Here is everything to put in the diary, in date order.
1. Sign up (it's free)
Before anything else, register at the official Dubai Fitness Challenge website. It costs nothing, it's how you book the flagship events, and it lets you log your 30 minutes across the month. Workplaces, schools and community groups can sign up too, which makes the challenge far easier to stick to.
Three free Fitness Villages run for all 30 days, from 31 October to 29 November, with free entry. The DP World 30x30 Fitness Village at Kite Beach has beach soccer, volleyball, padel, spinning and yoga (3pm–11pm Monday to Friday, 7am–11pm at weekends). The Dubai Municipality 30x30 Fitness Village at Zabeel Park, Gate 2, has a main stage with daily live classes, a Kids Fitness Zone and bookable courts (4pm–11pm weekdays, 12pm–11pm weekends). The Dubai Municipality 30x30 Fitness Village at Al Warqa'a Park has a 2.8km running and cycling track, ladies-only zones and bike rentals (4pm–11pm daily). More than 30 Community Fitness Hubs across the city add free daily classes closer to home.
Need a nudge? DFC's own round-up of 19 apps to help you complete your 30x30 is a good place to start if you'd rather track at home than join a class.

The first big set piece of the month sees Sheikh Zayed Road closed to traffic and handed over to cyclists. Riders choose between a flat 4km Downtown family route past Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa, or a 12km Sheikh Zayed Road loop with a climb over the Dubai Canal bridge. It's free, but you need to register and collect your bib from 28 to 31 October at the Dubai Municipality 30x30 Fitness Village in Zabeel Park. Bring your own bike and a helmet; rides start from 6:15am. Last year a record 40,327 cyclists took part.

The train returns to Palm Jumeirah Mall by 8am, in time for breakfast.

From 31 October to 13 November, Boxica adds small-group 45-minute boxing circuits, which need booking.
Up on the West Rooftop at Palm Jumeirah Mall, Yoga La Vie, lululemon, Fitness First, TopGym, H&M and Storm host free morning and evening sessions throughout November, some of them under the Crystal Dome.

For a 30x30 with a view, head to the mountains. Dubai Stand-Up Paddle returns to Hatta Dam for two days, with free 45-minute guided sessions for every level. Boards, paddles and life jackets are provided, and everyone gets a safety briefing first. New this year is a 30-minute morning SUP Yoga session. Adults can also take on the SUP Fun Challenge, a roughly 500m buoy-marked course, and registered paddlers get a free kayaking session too. Free return shuttles run from Dubai, and adaptive sessions are available for People of Determination.

First-timers can try the Sprint (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run), there's a new Olympic distance, and new relays let friends split the disciplines. Not racing? The big one. Last year a record 307,000 runners took over Sheikh Zayed Road, and the world's largest fun run returns on 22 November. Both routes start near the Museum of the Future at 6:30am: the 5km heads into Downtown and finishes on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, while the 10km continues along Sheikh Zayed Road to the Gate Building in DIFC. It's free and open to all ages and abilities, but registration is essential, so sign up early.

The challenge closes the way it should: slowly. Dubai Yoga, presented by MHERO, returns for its second edition on the final day of the month, and this year it moves to a new home beneath the Gate at DIFC for a sunrise session open to beginners and regulars alike.
The morning starts from 5:15am with a Yogasana Champions Display by UAE champions, then a sound bath and guided breathwork, before the 30-minute Sunrise Main Yoga session. Choose a Family, Ladies Only or General Zone when you register, and there are dedicated zones for People of Determination. It's free, mats are provided, and under-18s must come with an adult.
