Phat Buns, the UK’s cult-favourite burger brand known for unapologetically bold flavours and visually striking creations, has officially launched in Sharjah, marking its exciting entry into the UAE market. Since its inception in Leicester in 2019, Phat Buns has rapidly gained street food acclaim for its innovative approach to burger craftsmanship, combining flavour innovation with precise engineering.

The brand’s co-founder, Ahtesham Moosa, an aerospace engineer by profession, applies meticulous detail to every element of the burger experience. “With endless combinations, no two visits need to be the same,” Moosa says, highlighting the brand’s signature Build-a-Burger concept that empowers diners to personalise every aspect of their meal. Whether it’s a double smash patty stacked with crispy halloumi and a drizzle of the iconic PHAT sauce, or a spicy chicken burger layered with jalapeños on a buttery pretzel bun, each burger is tailored to individual tastes.

Phat Buns’ menu features well-loved staples such as the PHAT Classic, a 4oz Aberdeen Angus smashed beef patty topped with melted cheddar cheese, alongside innovative dishes like fried chicken loaded fries with grilled mushrooms and halloumi, and the legendary 12-hour smoked pulled rib sandwich infused with BBQ flavours. While the Sharjah menu is thoughtfully adapted to suit local preferences, it retains the brand’s signature vibrancy and energy.

The restaurant itself is designed to reflect street food culture with bold neon lighting and a vivid colour palette, creating an atmosphere as dynamic and inviting as the food. This eye-catching interior not only enhances the dining experience but also makes it perfect for social media sharing, echoing the brand’s viral appeal.

Phat Buns’ expansion into Sharjah signifies a new phase in the brand’s international growth, moving beyond its UK roots to establish a notable presence in the UAE. It challenges the fast food paradigm by proving that quick-service dining can be both fun and refined. With the precision of a “rocket scientist” behind the kitchen, Phat Buns promises to make a lasting impact on Sharjah’s competitive burger scene.
