RAVE REVIEWS: Under the Stars at Alara, Jumeirah Emirates Towers

On a breezy evening, we found ourselves stepping into Alara, the latest alfresco dining gem in Dubai, nestled at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. As we settled into our seats, the iconic Museum of the Future shimmered in the backdrop, setting the tone for an evening that promised to be as vibrant as the city itself.
Alara isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. A modern reinterpretation of the traditional majlis, it’s where the familiar warmth of Levantine hospitality meets contemporary Dubai chic. Plush seating, intimate lighting, and the inviting aroma of fresh spices created an ambience that immediately drew us in.
Adding to the atmosphere, the soulful melodies of live oud music floated through the air, blending seamlessly with the serene setting. This traditional touch, combined with the venue's modern elegance, made the evening feel truly magical.
The Spread That Had Us Savoring Every Bite
Our evening began with a mezzeh selection that set the bar high. The Greek Salad was a crisp medley of freshness, the Fattoush delivered the perfect tangy crunch, and the Beetroot Hummus—with its silky texture and earthy sweetness—was a table favorite.
But the stars of the show were undoubtedly Alara’s “Only at Alara” specials. The Pollo a la Brasa Burger had us swooning with its juicy, vertical-grilled chicken layered with avocado, Jack cheese, and a tangy green sauce, all nestled in a soft potato bun. Paired with Cajun-spiced fries, it was indulgence done right.
Next up, the Turkish Lamb Lachmachun. This thin-crust delight was topped with spiced lamb, onions, sumac, and a dollop of tangy yoghurt sauce—a bite that was as bold as it was comforting.

Sweet Endings with a Hint of Gold
No review would be complete without dessert, and Alara didn’t disappoint. The assorted baklava was a delightful medley of flaky layers, pistachios, and syrupy sweetness. But the pièce de résistance? The Baklava Cheesecake Cone. This signature dessert combined creamy cheesecake infused with date extract, a sprinkle of pistachios, and a touch of gold dust. It was almost too beautiful to eat—almost.
Pair your meal with one of their crafted drinks, and you're in for a treat. The Zero Colada, their standout mocktail, was a tropical blend of coconut and pineapple, offering a refreshing twist. It was the perfect accompaniment to a night under the stars

The evening ended with a round of Moroccan mint tea, a soothing and fragrant finish to a meal that left us deeply satisfied.
