Vacheron Constantin has once again expanded the language of timeless watchmaking with the latest interpretations of its Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin. Two new versions, pink gold with a golden-toned dial and white gold with a deep burgundy lacquer dial, reaffirm why the Overseas remains one of the most compelling expressions of modern Haute Horlogerie.
At just 8.1 mm thick, the watch feels impossibly slim, its proportions a quiet nod to the Maison’s mastery of the ultra-thin. Inside, the Manufacture Calibre 1120 QP/1 carries the complication that continues to fascinate collectors: the perpetual calendar. A mechanical achievement in its purest form, it accounts for the quirks of the Gregorian calendar irregular months, leap years, and the shifting tides of time without requiring correction until 2100. For a complication often described as a mechanical brain, the movement maintains an elegant discretion at only 4.05 mm thick, its 276 components arranged like poetry in motion.
Through the sapphire caseback, the view reveals details collectors have come to expect from Vacheron Constantin: the 22K gold oscillating weight adorned with a compass rose, the symbol of the Overseas’ spirit of exploration. Hand-finishing Côtes de Genève, straight-graining, and chamfering allows light to play across every angle, even on components that will never be seen once assembled.
Two Faces of Refinement—The pink gold model speaks in tone-on-tone harmony: its case, bracelet, dial, and even moon-phase disc are executed in the same warm hue, punctuated by a subtle blue minute track. There’s an understated glamour here, a watch that leans toward evening formality yet adapts with ease when paired with a white or blue rubber strap. The white gold version offers sharper contrast. Its burgundy lacquer dial, paired with a burgundy moon-phase disc, radiates depth and intensity. White numerals and indexes balance the richness with clarity. When worn on a burgundy strap, it feels bold and expressive; on a white strap, its cooler side emerges, highlighting the crisp geometry of the case.

Versatility Beyond Convention —The brilliance of the Overseas lies not only in its technical prowess but also in its adaptability. Each model is delivered with a matching gold bracelet and two additional straps, easily interchangeable without tools. It is, in essence, one watch with three distinct personalities: refined, sporty, or casual, allowing it to accompany its wearer seamlessly from a boardroom to a jet cabin to a weekend escape.
A Contemporary Classic Since its founding in 1755, Vacheron Constantin has approached watchmaking as both art and science, marrying exploration with technical rigour. The Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin embodies that philosophy not as a showpiece complication but as a travelling companion, effortlessly balancing performance and beauty.
